Before booking swim lessons with anyone, please remember to always ask the appropriate questions about the instructors, business licensing, and insurance to make sure your child is being cared for appropriately.
While obviously we would love for you to sign up for swim lessons with us, we want to help connect your family with swim lessons that meet your time and financial constraints.
Here are 4 options for swim lessons in Yuma:
1) City of Yuma Parks & Recreation – First session begins June 1st, Last session July 20th
The City of Yuma offers swim lessons for ages 6 months to adults. Children 6 months to 36 months are participants in the parent-toddler classes that require an adult in the water. Group lessons last for two weeks Monday through Friday and are $28 for city residents. Non-residents pay $42 per session. Lessons last for 45 minutes each. 2) Yuma Mobile Swim – Season begins May 16th!
We offer private residential swim lessons in Yuma that come right to your home or neighborhood pool on your schedule. Our 1:1 lessons speed up your child’s learning and build their confidence independently.

Yuma Mobile Swim is registered with the Arizona Corporation Commission, City of Yuma, and carries appropriate insurance for providing swim lessons in your home.
3) City of Somerton Parks & Recreation – Lesson information pending.
While the City of Somerton might not be directly in Yuma, it’s within driving distance and to the surprise of many their Parks & Recreation program does offer swim lessons. 2020 details don’t seem to have been announced yet.
4) MCAS Yuma Oasis Pool – lessons begin June 1st!
These swim lessons will require access to the Marine Base. Lessons are available June 1st until mid-September. Visit the Oasis Pool website here or call 928-269-2914 for more information.
Jackie Follmuth is a swim lesson instructor who loves to teach children and adults about water safety. She’s been teaching swim lessons for nearly a decade and while initially started teaching at public pools, she now teaches private lessons in the homes of families on evenings and weekends.
Jackie has a passion for people and public service and completed her Master of Public Administration degree with a focus in Environmental Policy from Texas Tech University in 2017. She earned her B.S. in Public Management & Policy from the University of Arizona with minors in Philosophy (ethics courses), Sociology, and Information, Sciences, Technology & Arts.
